Hello, Jack! Great question!

Paula and Dick got ready to start investing by asking lots of questions, talking to people, reading a lot of material (including books), observing a foreclosure auction, and searching online for advice. Most, if not all, of those ideas are low- to no-cost, so you may not need to invest in another book or course. Look for a real estate investing group in your area (they may offer free meetings / seminars), check out the local public library, and go to real estate events (like auctions) and ask questions when you get there. In the end, as Dick and Paula said, the best way to get started in real estate investing is to just "do it!"

We'd like to hear from other investors, too ... how would you advise Jack? Post your comment and let us know what you would do to get results similar to Dick and Paula's!

I'm a Realtor and Broker Associate with Keller Williams Realty Hollywood Hills Sunset. This is exactly the kind of extremely valuable information for professionals in our community to be communicating to our clients when the question is asked: Is this a good time to buy? It is the absolute BEST time in many years to be in the market buying Real Estate.
